ABOUT ME
Hi everyone, I’m Hannah! Let’s start with a little about myself. I graduated from Denison University in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, minoring in classical Greek history and culture. I spent the first two years of my career in industry as a software engineer, working on projects ranging from cloud, web, and embedded server development.
A career gap has taken me around the globe, seeing and experiencing incredible things, all the while learning and growing personally and professionally. I’m back and re-entering my career with renewed energy and direction. I still have passion and excitement for software engineering, and while I don’t want to go back to the same development work I did before, I want to help other people with their development work or learning.
I’ve found that what I love to do is bring people together, to engage with people and get them excited and involved in things. Whether that’s a group of people, starting as strangers and ending as friends, or new developers who might start with little to no experience and end up growing some foundational knowledge to start their own development journey. My goal here is to share the possibilities of programming with anyone who wants to explore; taking the knowledge I have and showing how different technologies can be learned and leveraged; opening up the world of computer programming to someone new or reminding others why they got into development.
Join me on my journey to reconnect with coding and make technical concepts accessible to everyone - no fancy degrees required.
